Our double standard is showing. The rest of the world is asking questions. Why must USA, thats us, pound Iraq in to dust. They have no nukes at least none anyone has found. N Korea says we got em and will build some more. We say wait lets talk. Lets talk.
Starting to show more every day. Iraq OIL. N Korea Nothing. I think Our VP is just to hungry to start Iraq war. Not Bush so much as the VP. Seems he's still pissed we did not finish the 1991 war.
In any case the world leaders starting to ask questions why the double standard. Maybe we should start taking better care of our home land and all the needs we have to fix here. We just cant keep thinking we are all thats left to save the world. Bush better start listening to a few other staffers. Soon we will be in something more then we bargin for. Remember we know Iraq leader is grazy. Thats are excuse for going after Iraq. However N Korean Leader a complete Mad Man. Cares not a thing about loseing a couple million people. But no Oil there. Ok all you super Hawks kick chit out of me.

I don't think I qualify as a super hawk but I have a few questions.
Where do you get the information that VP Dick Cheney is pushing this so hard. If anything its Daddy Bush.

How can you say that Iraq has no nukes when the UN is not finished and hasnt reported anything. arent you jumping the gun ? The US continued build up in the persian gulf should give you a idea that we are going in and enough has been found to act.

George W is a big boy and I think he makes his own decisions. If you want to blame someone leave Cheney out and insert George W name. Dick is hiding underground somewhere so he can take the controls if something happens to George.


North Korea's main export seems to be missles to anyone with the cash. If they get nukes they maybe can buy food for their people, or maybe torture them for another thousand years.

First of all, why should we care what the rest of the world thinks? Yes, it would be wonderful if we could all hug each other and even hug an occasional tree in unison. A huge portion of the world does not think like the United States does. A huge portion of the world doesn't value the same things as the United States does. This doesn't necessarily make us right, but taking action based on what "other people" think is contrary to everything the USA stands for. I doubt that the rest of the world believed that the American Revolution was the right thing. If our desire is to protect South Korea, even the "hawks" in Bush' administration realize how difficult that would be. To the best of my knowledge, North Korea has never threatened to use nukes or other weapons of mass destruction, nor has North Korea ever used same. Iraq has used chemical warfare and has threatened to use nukes. It is also possible to explore economic sanctions against North Korea that could not work with Iraq. Many foregin policy experts believe this is another effort to extort payments from the USA in order to make them stop production of the nukes. All this being said, I agree that there is a look of double standard here. My comment would be "So what?"

Ok I go with the so what comment. So why us saving the world who put us in charge. Iraq is about Oil. Its so dam easy to see.
I think we should always stand up and fight for our interest. Iraq does not get my motor running. N Korea and our 37000 men in S Korea that gets my motor running. How many those guys you ready to lose to this mad man.

Where do you get the idea that the U.S. is "saving the world"? I've heard that so often, but never seen it be so. All conflicts we've been involved with has been with an ulterior economic benefit. If we were to try and save the world, there'd be many more places we could go and where we don't get involved. So often is the human rights violation used as an excuse, when in reality we go in for a monetary purpose.
The deal wth Iraq is pure and simply OIL... O-I-L. And the terrorist excuse was used to pursue that objective. If we were out to save the world, there are many other places we could start with. We, or our government, is the first to say that we won;t get involved with other countries sovereignty and that they should solve their problems on their own, but if we have an interest in the area, we will go in in a heartbeat.
How else can you explain our aiding in the past people like Saddam, Bin Laden, Noriega..., hell, just about every other ruthless hoodlum, dictator, autocrat that has turned his back on us in the last 15 years after we supported them for a particular benefit.

But, geez, people, please don't go on about how we're saving the world from evil. That is so BS.
