unc always does, there a joke. that game was a joke. college basketball is so controlled by $$ now a days
I laughed when with 2 minutes to go Billy Packer finally realized that Illinois was setting illegal picks all over the place. We noticed it early in the 1st half and wondered when the hell they were going to call one. Powell was throwing hip checks as guys were coming baseline through the screens. It was ridiculous.
Then they call all those touch fouls on Augustine. I felt bad for him. Three of those were play ons IMHO.
Officiating was as inconsistent as I can remember in this tournament.

thats hilarious. not only that, but May traveled a few times and they still wouldn't call it and even the first time he scored, he just lowers his shoulder and rams Augustine. No Call. I told my wife right there that NC will win.

Radio was saying that head offical was Ed Corbertt and he has worked a few tournament games and everyone he did and ACC team lost, so maybe he was trying to make up for those games. LOL

unc is the most talented team in the country. the illini shot great from outside to make it close. they did not score 10 pts in the paint... how are you supposed to win shooting jumpers all night ? the only reason the game was close was due to unc's arrogance and lack of fighting through picks/bad shots at times. that one williams guy looked like he had $$on illy. i cannot remember how many times the ball hit him in the mits and it rolled out of bounds....
no disrespect , but unc is far more talented than illini. luther head was awesome and deron williams is a f'n great shooter - not a shut down defender after playing real talent. furthermore, a moving screen is still illegal - i think....
besides, huckleberry hound needed a NT.
