For the recent event in Columbus OH, I'd really like for a journalist to watch the BodyCam footage with LeBron and ask him what the right move should have been. If someone has a knife raised to stab at another person, what's the play?
In this scenario, if the officer stands back and doesn't shoot and that girl successfully stabs the girl in pink, what's the public opinion? It could easily be, "see, they're willing to just watch them kill each other".
When I first watched the video, I wondered why the cops didn't fire into the air to try and get everyone's attention and then break it up. I don't know what the training is on a situation like this, but it was odd they stood by while they were fighting right in front of them. I could see an argument being made that says the police sat back and allowed this to escalate.
This isn't the movies....cops don't fire warning shots.
Using their weapon is a last resort and they own each shot.

Did they own each of the dozens of shots in the Breonna Taylor killing?
