If Atlanta wins tonight, the series is 1-1

I would think that the line would become about Atlanta -125 if it goes 1-1

So, would you think I would get a decent shot at a "buy back" on Arizona, once the series heads to Georgia? (Pending a 1-1 series)

In my opinion this early in a series you should treat series and single game bets separately. If you think ATL to win the series is a good value at two dollars, then take it. If you only like them for sure in game 2, then just bet game 2.

wagerstreet has the same series odds... yet the odds to win the whole damn thing (World series) has Ariz 4 to 1 and Atl is 3 to 1. Is this them tipping their hat to who has a better shot at winning the series?

To me, I would lay some dough on ATL +195 to win the series. It will be 1-1 after tonight with a good shot of ATL taking a few at home.

Good question. Nick brings up the right points, stick to that line of thought.

Calling this game a must for Atlanta tonight is almost laughable in the 2nd game of a series. I'm not laughing with Schilling on deck in game 3.

With that in mind, I don't think your getting enough, yyz. A lot more formable odds for ATL, when you think of it in that way.

That's from a guy who will be playing ATL tonight. Just not enough for me to pull the trigger. ATL should be +240 to +280...300 before I'd bite.

Just wanted to add one more thing I forgot.

It goes back to why I don't think your getting enough "value". What if Glavine is scratched during warmups, steps wrong in the first inning, or gets hurt on a line drive early. May seem remote, but there are too many variables in this game that do happen.

More I think about it, ATL down 0-1, with 6 games left, needing 4 out of six. Not near enough to bite, but that's why it's gambling vs easy money.

Very good points, and thanks to all of you. I was not interested in Atlanta, really, just interested in getting a decent "middle".

I don't think I will get that shot.
