earlier today on espn's PTI they had a segment with uconns coach, good ol jimmy. he was talking about his chances vs tex and everyone left in the tourny.

the question at hand was pitt has beat his huskies twice this yr and he should know that team pretty good by now, he predicts they are a final four team!!! he said it without hesitation that they will go to the final four.

is he biased becasue they beat his club twice, or does he know how to spot talent.... i mean they have to play a solid marquette team tom. and then most likely UK.!!!!!

i really don't see then getting by marquette.

marquette is not a very popular team and i think the line is wayyyy to high at 5. people see pitt and see blowouts vs avg teams....but when was the last time you seen marquette get blown out???? i think they are solid and will advance....

I watched Calhoun also on PTI.Of course he's promoting his "brother" Pitt from the BE.
But Cannon took the words out of my mouth.
Pitt plays great defense.They are talented and loaded but they contest every shot,don't allow penetration and wear you down.
But Marquette has seen good defenses and will give them a game.I like Pitt to win but I'm grabbing the pts.

Pitt was my pick to win it all at the beginning of the year....and they havent done anything to prove me wrong yet. 5 points is rather steep....so I will probably put a larger bet on the money line

Saw Pitt line in BE tourney and they are equal to Kentucky on defensive end. They pound you with Lett and Troutman, they fight you tooth and nail for position in the box, box out as well as anyone in country, challenge every shot, close out on the three with super quick guards. Bench has really given them great minutes over last month. No drop off when they go to 6th and 7th man.

They are not flashy on offense but spread the ball around. I think they have five guys avg dd. Big sore spot is FT shooting but even that has been much better in last four games.

They will be tough to beat.

He did not pick Wisconsin, however. I guess there are limits to conference loyalty.

i have to go with my gut on this one and since these games came out i loved two teams to go on...........marquette and kan, so hence my bet

also zona will come out tonight and play hard.......small parlay of

zona -8 parlayed with marquette +6 85/220
