Indy tonight!! These guys have a "slim to no" lead over the Raptors for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Easern Division.

The Atlanta Hawks are in the spoiler role as they look to win at least one against the Pacers this season.
__________________________________________________

Before I capp this game I'd like to say thanks to gsp, KC Wolf and Scott for the replies in yesterday's offering.

Thankfully....it hit and came in with a "little" room to spare (19' points). ;)
__________________________________________________

Now on to tonight's card and a play:

-Do ya think Isiah Thomas made known to this Pacer team his disappointment with Monday's Boston game??

-I heard the news conference following the game and the Pacer HC was very unhappy....but calm in his reaction to the press. Bet the players got a different version of his unhappiness....that wasn't so calm!!

-The Pacers blew what shoulda been an easily won game.....allowing Boston to go on a 31-14 run in the 4th.

-Right now the Pacers are in a "dead heat" race with Toronto:

*The Pacers have only a 1/2 game lead over Toronto in the Central Division for the 8th and final Eastern Conference playoff spot going into tonight's Atlanta game.

*The Pacers have 2 games (a home & home) against Toronto next week.

*The Raptors have owned the Pacers so far this year:

Nov. 4 @ Tor 113-100 Raptor win

&

Dec. 19 in Indy a 102-90 Raptor win

-With Toronto on a "torrid" 6 game win streak (Davis pick'n it up bigtime for Carter)........I see tonight as a MUST win for Indy!!!

-The Pacers cannot afford to go into next week tied with or behind the Raptors. A loss tonight and they are tied with Tornoto!!

-The Pacers have owned Atlanta this season winning all 3 previous games:

Nov. 12 106-102

Dec. 18 103-100

&

Mar. 7 85-68

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

-Are these Pacers a bunch of "gutless" wonders or playoff contenders???

I believe Isiah Thomas will have the Pacers ready tonight.....and.....motivated by that Boston game which was flittered away in the 4th due to a lack of effort and intensity.

If the Pacers lose to the Hawks......I think they're in deep trouble.....especially the way Toronto's currently play'n!!

Think I'll just take Indy here:

*because Isiah's got to still be "steamed" and telling his troops that we cannot afford to let another one slip away.....

*AND.....the linesmen are even give'n me 1' to take Indy in this critical situation

Give me the team with their playoff lives on the line and -----> Play'n Indy +1'

1-0...LN

Mem/Minn u 192' "W"

129-83-3...YTD ez

Always forget some capp'n point................

Always forget some capp'n point................

IT IS A MUST THAT INDY ACCOUNT FOR AND COVER JOHNSON ON THE PERIMETER TONIGHT!!!!!

DerMarr is 50% from behind the arc in his last 8 games. He is 15-30 on his 3 pointers and MUST be defended tonight by Indy.

GL MadJackers as the regular season plays out. ez

ok so let me get this straight. indy is the play against the Hawks. Indy needs this one more.

Atlanta just playing out the season. Indy already won 3 from Hawks this year. Coach Thomas all over the Indy players.

This is just the kind of game that I have bet against the Hawks and lost everytime this year. They are so inconsistant its not funny. But they do at times get up for home games with a foe that has beat them 3 x .

I would venture lightly but I have lost my butt this year for and against the Hawks this season.

If i place a wager on the Hawks to win I could almost guarentee a win for you with Indy. A sure lock.

hmmm I got a idea. I will place it on the Hawks -1 and when Indy kicks butt you can pay me back. Go BIG ON INDY !

Wow - I could be on to something here!

Yeah, Scott-Atlanta, I've tried betting against myself. Ya' know, cap a game and play the opposite side of where you capped it. This works sometimes, but when it doesn't you look like a real putz. I think for all the reasons EZ says take Indy tonight, makes the Hawks seem like a great contrarion play. I wonder who Nolan is on tonight?

Good luck tonight, I'm still undecided...probably pass.

this line bothers me for all the reasons you stated....this is a must win for the pacers...the debacle against boston...etc...indy has been playing downright dreadful the last couple of weeks...i know o'neal was out of the lineup for a couple and they struggle without him but i watched that whole celts game the other night and indy looked like a sure win until that fourth quater...tonights performance will tell us a lot about this team...their season is on the line and they stunk out the joint for the last 15 minutes of that celts game...often when a team collapses like that the next game they either carry over the shitty play or they bounce back in a big way...with the playoffs on the line if indy doesnt bounce back tonight they never will...the first quater will tell us which way indy wants to go...i am leaning towards the pacers in this one but i'm going to look into it more...good luck cooz

reverse jinx

reverse jinx

Horrible Call!!! The only "crunch time" for these stiffs will be sittin around with those old farts at Dominique Wilkins house eating tostitos. What a heartless, gutless crew!!!!

( I've congratulated people in the past before the game was over, thereby jinxing the play and causing all of us to lose.....hoping it also works the other way).

Ok so you got the push. The heartless Pacers just stunk against a team going no where. Think the Pacers are out big if they make the playoffs that is.

OK so lets analyis this one now. And this gets complicated so follow me here. I was to place the bet on Atlanta Hawks. Thus insuring a victory for you with the pasty faced Pacers.

And believe me I was already to do just that. I was just about to pull the trigger when my wife walked in and next thing I know I was in Pikes nursery loading up about 150 dollars in flowers.

So the fact is a wager was not placed thus insuring no victory for you. As we know if i would have bet on the Hawks they would have lost out right. So a push for you and no loss for me, whew I think we are even.

Nice going EZ that was a close one.

Hey I was just sitting here thinking, brain storming you know. there should be a line for pushs offered. Can you imagine calling a push on the NBA games. We could do it in football too.

Maybe 10 dollars to win $ 10,000. 00

we could parlay three game pushs! Raymond would be rich as shit!

Damn EZ got any more pushs ? we could get rich !

Scott.....I hooked it in the "W" column.

Scott.....I hooked it in the "W" column.

I had the "heartless" pasty faced Pacers at +1' and a winnah without you having to lose a dime!!

That makes my day! :)

Thank your wife and tell her ez can sleep like a baby tonight since ya didn't have to lose anything on his behalf.

However, I guess it did end up cost'n ya $150 in ornamental horticulture plant material!

Happy gardening Scott.....and let's plant a pansy in my man's :moon: to celebrate the Indy winnah by the hook.

I've got a rose garden growing where he's gotten me by the hook!! :D ez

Scott's intended wager and the double/triple reverse jinx still couldn't drag the Pacers over the line......all that psychology for a push. Glad you won and nobody lost. It's gonna take some kind of an animal sacrifice for the Pacers to win a game in the playoffs.
