Great guy, loved hearing him call a game. Always despised the Cardinals (until the Cubs were out of the race, usually about July 4), but loved hearing Jack.....an original voice. We're losing a lot of the great ones. very sad.

A sad day, especially for St Louisians. A truly great man has left us. I remember many nights as a kid listening to the transistor radio under my pillow, hearing Jack Buck calling a Cards game.
Many of my favorite memories came from this legend of a man.Jack was a hall of fame announcer but more than that, he was a hall of fame person. Just ask anyone that ever spent time with him. He will be missed. God bless!!!!

One of the all time greats. Being a Dodger fan my favorite call he ever made was from the 88 World Series when Kirk Gibson hit the homer to win game 1. "I can't believe what I just saw." Still gives me goose bumps.:toast: :toast: To Jack Buck.
