Here we are, last race of the season... :(

DATA : Length:5.821 km

Nb of Laps:53 (308.317 Km)

Best Lap:
R. Schumacher - 1'36''944
(2001, BMW Williams)

Record Pole:
M. Schumacher - 1'32''484
(2001, Ferrari)

2001 Pole:
M. Schumacher - 1'32''484
(Ferrari)

2001 Podium:
M. Schumacher - J-P. Montoya - D. Coulthard

YTD: 113-64-2 :D

I wanted, at the start of the season, to keep momentum with the incredible record we had last year in F1 (128-65-1 so 66%) and our target was to get at least 60% of winning picks. With our actual record, we are hitting for 63.8% so our goal is achieved unless we "choke" this weekend...

I'm glad i have contribute here at madjack, since i've started keeping track of my picks in motor racing, (the last 2 years) to make some of my friends more happy about racing $$$ :) I recognize this year our sportsbooks let us down a few times, some stop to offer F1 or Cart picks, some put them off the board earlier than the year before but even with that in mind, we keep fighting and we had the results you're seeing... Ok, enough speech, let's continue for the last dance! ;)

Qualifying session at midnight friday (or if you prefer saturday at 12:01 am... ;) ) Eastern time

Race: Saturday at 1:30 am Eastern time

We should see lots of test by teams with their 2003 engines so it is hard for now to have a clue about wich ones will be using their 2002 or 2003 engines. Some driver in the same team might split it too. Villeneuve for example might use the stronger engine for qualifying session while Panis will use the 2002 one and during the race both can drive with this year engine so we have to be careful for this weekend... If we can get info on these BEFORE the start of the qualifying session... :brows:

JAPANESE Grand Prix? I love it. They should put 1837 on that old Wide World of Sports show, replacing Jim McKay. Spanning the globe, wherever $ is to be made.

GL, 1837. I'll be lookin forward to the race. Should be takin place about the same time Hawaii is playin football. Gotta love it.

same comment as ndnfan...I always wanted to bet F1 but never felt confident. 1837 keep it up for next season or maybe do you also bet on other motor sports?

At least 3 maybe 4 times in last two years I have said in the general froum. Come to the Motor Sports. Money is being made there. I do believe more money made here then anyother forum last two years. At least by me.
1837 has led the way and others have chipped in. I was a follower and said so many times. AND IM SURE HAPPY I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO DO IT.
Thanks!
Lets have a nice race this week. I for one wil be alittle reserved just because of some of the new things that may get tried. I will no way let this great season get ruined the last week.
1837 I think Im up to half a stear I owe you with a case of beer to wash it down. ;)

Well early seems to always be better. Your record does help move the line. ;)

Fisichella really picked it up in the final session - 1/2 second faster than Trulli. I wonder if OLY will reopen the qualifying matchups. I think I would go for a scalp on that one right now.

Also Sato over McNish would be a sure thing.

fisichella was working on race setup in the first practice session. they switched to their new qualifying engine prior to the second practice.

Yep. There should be a rule like in NASCAR where you can only use one engine for the weekend.

If I had an account at William Hill, I think I would bet on Ralph Schumacher at 15/1 to win the pole position and possibly Raikkonen at 10/1.

i agree on the engine rule. i keep reading where F1 needs to save money that would be a good start. saving money is the reason nascar introduced the rule last year.
