CHICAGO BEARS +6 ? (Sunday) - The fact that the whole nation watched the Bears? dreadful performance on Monday night has only served to give us some excellent line value here at home. Chicago has been very competitive at home recently, covering vs. some stiff opponents like Philadelphia and New England before finally pulling off an outright victory over Detroit. The Bears have also had an uncanny success in non-conference games, as they are 19-6, 76.0% ATS in their last 25 meetings vs. the AFC! While there is no denying that the Jets are playing terrific football right now, they have been bitten in spots like this in the past, losing as a road favorite vs. a supposedly inferior opponent. I think that they will be in for a dog-fight here, as I see the final margin of victory in this contest as a field goal either way.

have to agree also...in a pool I run 30% are picking the jets as their top ats play...a solid fade normally

plus jets go to different surface i believe, on road with little motivation, my only concern is will the bears be able to contain the jets passing attack?

Guess I'll be the only one on the Jets. I totally disagree with the above opinions. Think NY Jets are peaking just at the right time and the Bears going the other way. Bears are riddled with injuries and definitely have nothing to play for.

I see Chi mailing this game in and the Jets riding high. Looks to me to be an easy cover for NY with C Martin running all over the place.:thumb:  :spotting: :Yep: dance2

I agree with EM on the Bears. Great contrarian play on a team everyone has given up on. Bears should have some life playing at home. I bought this one up to +7 (laying 240/200). I think that's the safer play here, as expecting the Jets to cover TWO scores is asking too much. My point is -- I think laying the extra 10 percent is worth it here, to pick up the full SEVEN points. Hope this helps.

As a Bears fan.....

As a Bears fan.....

Guys, I respect and honor all comments, as I do with all posts on this board, but I have to go the other way on this one.

I have been watching the Bears all year, and they have gotten worse and worse... home, away, it just doesn't seem to matter.

The point about injuries is true, it seems like someone else goes down during each and every game in addition to what is already out.

The balanced Jets attack of Martin, Coles, Pennington and even Becht should tear the Bears up, don't see the Bears getting any Offense going either, their O-coordinator should be out the door soon.

G/L to all of you as always ... hope I am wrong for your sake.

Bears 3-0 ATS as home dog this year

Bears 3-0 ATS as home dog this year

The Bears have been a terrible cover this year ATS 4-9-1 overall, but are 3-0 as a home underdog.Though I show the Jets winning comfortably on paper (28 -10),the Chicago home dog performance this year makes this one a no play on the Jets for me in spite of what the "paper" score sayes.GL with the Bears!

Plus, Chandler is as brittle as they come and the Bears have already said they plan to use Burris more. Who from what I've seen is no good. Good luck...:)
