Awful! I don't understand how some of these NFL officials maintain their jobs. These guys are so inconsistent with their calls from week to week.

The perfect description would be: "Consistently Inconsistent"

It's gotten way out of hand.:nooo: :bigun:

That was definitely a touchdown. The official said Chambers didn't have control when he came down with the ball. That's bullshit! He had total control and then the ground caused the ball to come out. I thought the ground couldn't cause a fumble? That's exactly what I'm talking about. Like Dubs said, consistently inconsistent. It's a joke! These guys call whatever they want to, and they continue to get away with it.

Holly Shitz!

Recount, recount!!!!! Oh my bad.......Shitz, they got a call right! I think they need to replay the replay to get it back to wrong! It's a miracle! I can't believe they get one right!:thefinger

I do not usually bitch about the refs, but this game is TOTAL BS.

Touch a guy with your finger when he's 5 yards off the line of scrimmage...PENALTY MIAMI!!!

Throw a guy to the ground after he's already clearly out of bounds...NO CALL on the JETS!!!

The final drive before the half, the ball was moved almost exclusively on penalties. The disallowed TD, I don't know, I suppose you COULD make an argument that he didn't have control.

But aside from that this game is just non-stop penalties on the Dolphins for the tiniest infractions. Complete joke.

C'mon, give the Jets the ball....the Dolphins were getting dangerously close to covering!

"After reviewing the play, there is no conclusive evidence...". I can hear it already.

You guys are right on.There are times when the zebra's for whatever reason just take over a game. There have been several this year.I saw three yestersday. If you were watching last night there were 3 calls that were ridiculas.Ray Charles could see that .When the cyber voters on the tv screen see a call one way by over 70% and the ref's see it another way something is very fishy (pardon the pun). Not to mention the calls in the dolphin secondary. If this doesn't get cleaned up,before long the NFL will be like the WWF.(maybe it already is !!!!!!).Someone is going to have there nutsack bet on a game like that and go postal on those guys.I'm not being a sore loser as a matter of fact if you have followed my plays ,I'm having a fantastic year. But I have been on the wrong side of those BOGUS games more often than the right side.I'm sure we all have.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone please tell me why that catch (by Chambers?) in the endzone in the 1st 1/2 was NOT a TD??

I saw this same situation in another game a few weeks ago and the announcers explained it a little better then than they did last night (not quite a shocker with the Sunday night yahoos).

In any event, the receiver has to come down and *maintain* possession for it to be a completed pass. In other words, the ground CAN cause the ball to pop and and negate the catch.

I agree on some of the horrible calls this year, in particular the late hits out of bounds calls...seems like if the guy is near the sideline they get the call and then last night 5 yards out of bounds and nothing. But the officials do seem to be consistent with this reception rule. When I saw the replay last night I was thinking "yea, no catch" from what I remembered from a few weeks previous.

?able at best. What gets me is that the refs are supposed to spend only 2 min. on a replay...........sometimes they spend over 4 min. Why can't one team throw another "flag" out at the 2:00 mark of replay and stop it and let the game continue? Or, why don't they stick to the rules and leave the cameras after 2 min.?

The refs seem to be calling the play under the replay hood, trying to make a call. They are overturning plays that are very very close calls...........they are disregarding the conclusive evidence thing. They are finding conclusive out of inconclusive.
Just my .02.............THE HITMAN

*BTW, No way to disallow Chamber's TD catch, no way
