JETS/RAIDERS Under 47.5 (Sunday) - The Raiders won the regular season meeting between these clubs 26-20, a result that would be barely good enough to go Under this total. However, the Raiders may be hard pressed to match even that modest point total in this game! Simply put, the Jets are playing the best football in the NFL right now, as their 41-0 rout of Indianapolis was not a total fluke. For the second straight season, the Jets made adjustments to their defensive schemes in mid-stream, and the results this season have been even better than last year. As a result, the Raiders were the only team to score more than 20 points against the Jets in the last 10 games, as the New Yorkers have allowed 14.3 points per game over those contests. This is not to say that the Jets are a runaway winner in this spot, as they too should have trouble matching their recent offensive production vs. a staunch Oakland defense. The Raiders allowed just 18.5 points per game at home this year, and they usually turn up the defensive pressure come playoff time in front of their home fans.
