I know this sounds crazy but Lane Kiffin would be the perfect fit ay UCLA...Great recuiter, the kids in So Cal love him and the boosters really want to stick it to USC...Personally think this would be a great hire...

He should save a spot for Bielma, who should be joining him soon....... Never should have left Cheeseville.

I never did understand him leaving there. They are always good, always seem to have a good defense, good offensive line, and a really good running back. And it's not like you have to go 11-1 every year like some places. Unless he got a nudge for some reason.

There was no nudge. He left for greener pastures. Barry handpicked him for the job, didn't even interview anyone else. He wanted more money for himself and assistants. He wasnt too popular with the fanbase though, did and said a lot of dumb and embarrassing things. So a lot of fans were glad he left anyway.

Did the Arkansas job pay more I guess? I guess I was just trying to put myself in his shoes. Bolting for a job in the toughest division in the SEC where just cracking the top 3 or 4 in the division is an accomplishment. Maybe he thought he was going to be able to get the type of recruits he was getting at Wisconsin; he probably didn't consider the long term. There can't be that many better jobs than Wisconsin, their good every year, basketball also, not many schools can be that.

I believe it paid more and he was always trying to get more pay for his assistants. Barry is notorious for not ponying up for assistant coaches. At least that's what his reasoning was when he left. Coulda been other things also, lot of rumor reasons but nothing verified.

I?d heard he pissed Barry off and that?s why he took off for Arkansas.
He?s gone and will be coaching in the MAC next year? maybe.
Unless Barta at Iowa sucks it up, calls the big donors and scrounges up Ferentz?s buyout cash and offers Bielema the job...:mj07:

That's one of the stories that went around. I don't see him getting a head job right away. I'm guessing a year off in front of a camera or a coordinator position.
