These illegals take many more jobs away than just those of the menial variety. In Chicago, they bartend, are mechanics, own restaurants of all sorts, work in every kitchen of every high end restaurant, are tile setters and are in all the trades, truck drivers (license easily obtained from other states with weaker demands), tons in the concrete business, cable installation, vendor delivery for all variety of companies from bread to pop to tv's. And a miilion other mid level occupations I can't recall right now, all making very good money and mostly CASH. They then take the cash and invest in rental properties, bring more in, and work around the system with those people. Then the assholes march march march for more rights.
You are very wrong if you think Jose is just cutting lawns. Most of them won't even settle for that work.
I know many people in positions of higher authority in our local grocery chains. The Feds send letters to these large businesses who are in turn expected by law to hand each illegal a letter. The letter basically states the number/numbers they are using for proof of citizenship are bogus and they must answer and show valid info. Some of these people I have personally known for 15 to 20 years. All have full time gigs with full bennies, yes and there wonderful offspring use the bennies as well. They just shoot back to either Mexico (or where ever) and obtain new numbers. Continue along until the next gov audit. All the while they take jobs, use the system, send money back to the homeland, and breed like rabbits. Local hospitals CANNOT turn them away. They show NO INCOME and get a ton of money and other crap from our idiot mayor and county board president. They don't insure their vehicles. They live a million to a building, at least in the beginning. And their kids generally turn out like shit.

It's a lot harder for us or even a Mexican to GET INTO Mexico than it is for them to get here.
