epsn has exclusive video of this 3 time convicted drunk driver and numerous arrests on assault. he is on probation and not allowed to be drinking alcohol either. he is shown throwing the cup at artest then standing by when artest attacked that kid. in the next frame he is shown grabbing artest and punching him in the head from behind. ok enough is enough ! this piece of s*it is a CONVICT on probation for deadly assault and has 3 DUI's. but he is walking the streets! god damn it detroit police arrest his ass on violation of probation and assault again.

Put the shitbag in a cage with the entire Pacers team armed only with his cup and lets see how tough he is.

See thats bullshit. Now Artest has to miss the whole season, losing 5 million in salary and the Pacers season got alot tougher. This criminal messed shit up and it aint right that Ron takes all the blame.

I agree Lucky ... the fans were wrong in this too but Artest is "supposed" to be a role model.

I heard on ESPN this morning that one of the NBA coaches said,
"If Jackie Robinson NEVER went into the stands in 1941 then nobody should go into the stand". Great point!

good grief the guy threw a plastic cup!!!!

the punishment should fit the crime...not what happened thereafter...

if you guys were judges, we would have hundreds of thousands of people across the country every year put away who threw drinks on another person

give him a fine and community service

Artest went after an innocent fan as did other Pacers with absoultey no discretion or self control

its amazing how you fail to see the difference

Fellows, the guy will get charged. Worse was the person who threw the chair, that is a felonious assault.

Artest hasn't a defense for his indescriminate multilple assaults on fans. Neither does Jackson.

30 days in the county for each.

I am a season ticket holder for the Pistons and the funny thing is that it wasn't even a beer cup... those blue cups are for pop. the cups are color coded to help the ushers watch for drinking. All beer is either clear or in white cups... the pop is in blue cups and liqour is in tiny clear glasses.

Everyone is blaming alcohol and a bunch of drunk fans, but I don't think that has anything to do with it (at least what started it). It was more a bunch of idiots that couldn't handle the fact that the Pacers whooped on us and made us look like a bad team

snoozer = the cup thrower ! get em' guys ! let tackle him and beat him maybe punch him in the back of the head.

joke ha ha

regardless of the issue this convict broke his probation and has been convicted many times for assault and 3 dui's. do you all condone this activity? maybe next time it will be your loved one he kills when he is driving home drunk from a ball game. if a player threw a cup at fan and hit him in the face you know the fan would sue the player and nba for millons. yes i am disgusted at this event but this piece of shi* should be behind bars. oh he was only arrested for deadly assault.

I didn't throw the cup... it was the chair... just kidding.

I do agree that this guy is a degenerate.... I guess when you live in the 'wealthy' neighborhoods and friends with the DA, you can get away with anything.

For those of you who didn't hear, the County Prosecutor used to live next to this guy and recognized his picture from the video

For everyone who is saying "charge him", what are you going to charge him with...assualt with a deadly cup?! Holy crap he'll get a misdemeanpor at best regardless of this guys history. His prior charges have nothing to do with this incident. Artest gets the blame for not being a man and just shrugging it off. It's not like the guy threw a chair at him, it was a friggen cup. That does not justify physical retaliation, and i'm sure in a court of law this guy will win because he did not assault artest.

Is there a charge for inciting a riot? I'm asking because I don't know. If such a charge exists I'd think they could go that route.
