It was unreal. We didn't loose any trees, luckily. But my parents both lost huge trees in their yards. No significant damage there either. Luck runs in the family, I guess

You are the frickin' Conde Nast here lately! Don't know how you do it...

Sorry I missed your post. Talked with Billie Spradling Sr. who just made an East Tx down to the Gulf run and he said just about the same thing you did. Nice quality Long and strong with the mic avg around 4.6 ( a little high for S Tex ) The problem he sees is whether or not the farmers will sell. Again we could see a lot of cotton end up in the Loan Program. The Australian Fibermax cotton has sure made for some "pretty" cotton this year but we're worried that we won't be able to afford to buy any.

The truth is us little guys could get run out of the business and leave you guys plus allen and hohen and the coops still in the business. Domestics all but gone, China's in the driver's seat - but without step2 we are going to have a hard time making any money.

Had to rant a little. It's almost to the point where a normal cotton season would be unusual. Will see.

if you get a chance - checkout gotcotton.com and let me know what you think. we're trying to put together an ebay of a cotton site. We have a functioning site but are trying to work out any bugs that might be in it. Old School cotton fellas would probably only give us one shot so we're trying to get it right the first time.

To a prosperous 03-04

Take care

Looks like some inquiries and bids from oversees last night created some demand for a needed NYF rally today even though it is minimal at this point Z up 30pts. We think around 40000 b/c sold last night. I know you have heard of the famous ream, i mean Seam which is going to make it awfully hard to compete with as far as online cotton trading goes. They have the most liquidity for trading. Your right, another year for the Loan and with a diminishing step 2 it will make it hard to sell. did you read the article in the NYT about Burkina Fasso and how our subsidies are killing the african cotton growers. I will see for myself when itravel over there next month. I'm moving to Geneva for 6 months to check out evrything over in that part of the world. Ie, CIS: the stans, West Africa and south-central africa. should be interesting.

The site looks good. Simple and easy to read.

One point though..After you click on New Users click here..on the page that pops up...under note it says GotGotton not GotCotton.

Good luck with the site.
