Hofstra -9.5 over Canisius *****
Hof has the best pt gd in the Colonial in Green...have another top player in Tankey...both of these guys played for Niagara, the Griffs rivals two yrs ago...Mihalich when he left the Purple took his two best players...Hof has Bernardi and good shooter..inside they have some big 6'10 front line players...they almost won their conf last yr but faded in the end...The Pride can score...a favorite to win the conf this yr...The Griffs lost 3 of 4 of top scorers but top player Lewis transferred..that is a major loss...Griffs will have a tough time on offense...Prides one weakness is defense...but vs. a Canisius team that will have trouble scoring think Pride win this by over 15 pts...Mihalich has coached many years vs MAAC teams...but Green is a superstar and probably is the best area player in the New York metro area..

Yale -8.5 over Fairfield *** { early game}
Yale lost 3 starters but they return the best player in the Ivy in 6'8 Sears...think they have more depth,better coached and play better defense...Stags have Gilbert one of the top players in the MAAC...but he plays such a passive quiet game...Stags have Nelson who is an excellent 3 pt shooter...think Yalies front court is much better even with the Stags Sidibe returning.....Stags defense will have trouble with the Tiger motion offense... Yales coach Jones is a good coach. Stags coach is on the hot seat...

Princeton -1 over Rider **
Tigers have almost everyone back...beat Rider 64-58 lyr...they have good perimeter shooting...Rider is playing w/o 7'0 Lopez who graduated...they did play w/o him at the end of the year but think they will have trouble with the Broncos...Broncos have good gds but the Tigers one are better.. tigers have some "bigs" that can go outside and shoot...bad match up for Rider..

Navy +13 over Florida *
Navy at home might be able to keep this close...Gators new coach is uptempo and all they do is play fast...much taller,athletic,etc then the shipman...just think on Navy's home court they lose by 8-10 pts...small play...both teams can't shoot..

Seton Hall -11 over Dartmouth **
Whitehead should have a big year...

Pirates have Whitehead one of the best gds in the B-East...they have Delgado who can score and rebound...Dart lost their top 2 players...their pt gd and post player..Hall is bigger,quicker and more athletic..think they win this by +15...

Albany +20 over Kentucky *
Like Brown the Danes coach...doesn't have the talent to stay with Kentucky...but has some decent ball players...think they could be pesty enough to keep it under the number...small sentimental play...

Fordham +2.5 over Texas Arlington **
Was going to take the UTA at -1 but I'll switch with +2.5....
Rams have 2 solid gds in Thomas and Severe...Thomas can handle the ball and is one of the top def players in the A-10..Severe I love but has never lived up to his HS talent....think this year he breaks out..Rams do get back two vets who were out almost all of last year...Canty and Rhoomes..there are 6'8 and 6'9...Sengfield the 6'8 German kid can shoot and rebound.. a little slow but has the European style...Rams lost the best players in the A-10 in Paschall when he transferred to Nova.....Rams problem was they couldn't stop anyone...defense was terrible...new Coach from Eastern Kenty has stressed defense since the 1st day of practice...
UTA has a young team losing their top scorers...but these teams in the southwest rely on so many juco's transfers...they have a few starters back and then they blend them in with the new comers...hard to predict how these new players adjust...Charles led the Sun in 3 pt FG%..Bilboa is 6'8.. UTA playing at home,big crowd...but I think with the Rams gds the Mav press will be equalized...Rams have played in tougher places in the A-10...think Rams keep this game close and could even win outright...small play

North Carolina -24.5 over Fairfield ****
Heels can just name their score...they just beat Temple 91-67..thats 24 pts...Owls did play competitive with them for awhile...Stags cannot...lost by 13 to Yale....no one scored in double d's...Stags have no front line...Heels had Meeks,Britt,etc...they have about 4 players that can get double pts and bds every game..they play defense,have depth...last yr when heels play some weaker teams like Robert Morris and ECU they won 103-59 and 108-64...think this is one of those blowouts..hate giving up that many but I see Williams scoring in the 100's..

Valpo -7.5 over Iona **
Valpo is loaded..playing at home...does play some defense...Iona loaded with superstar English and solid Casmier,Amayo and Williams..should win another MAAC..lost their big guy inside in Laury...but Iona cannot guard their own shadow. horrendous defensive team...think Valpo pulls this high scoring game late in the game to cover...maybe the play is over 153...

Bucknell -3.5 over Wake **
Bucks have new coach...hopefully he doesn't change any style of their normal offense...Wake also has new coach..hopefully he doesn't change anything either...and they keep on losing..
