Florida -107

The surprising Milwaukee Brewers go to Florida to face the Marlins after rolling over the Reds at home over the weekend. Florida is in a revenge spot after getting swept earlier in the year against the Brewers. To try and get revenge they will send Miller to the hill to face off against Suppan. Suppan got rocked in his last start against the Cardinals giving up five earned and his history against the Marlins has not looked so great. If you look at the long ball numbers you will see that Suppan has a problem giving up the homer. He has allowed 12 all year and 5 in his last three starts! He has given up 11 runs in his last three starts. Miller has pitched well in his last three starts just yielding two runs per game and that has come against excellent opposition. Milwaukee has never played well in Florida as the Brewers are 7-19 in the last 26 meetings in Florida. The marlins continue to own Milwaukee at home and get the win tonight using the long ball!

Pittsburgh -105

The Pirates are another home team looking for revenge tonight. The Bucs were swept in three games earlier this year by the Mets and this pitching match up is a re-match of a game the Pirates lost 8-4. Hernandez has had a stellar year while Snell has headed in the opposite direction. That won?t stop me from fading the Mets tonight. Hernandez is off back to back games with allowing just one run but he was over extended his last game throwing 127 pitches. Snell ha snot pitched well of late but he has control over the Mets power in the lineup. Snell has fared well against New York's top two bats, with David Wright and Carlos Beltran each 2 for 12 against him. The Pirates join the Marlins in getting revenge on Monday night.

Padres -102

The Padres round up my list of home small chalk that I will be playing tonight. The Padres are a very nice 17-6 at home and getting them at this price is too good to pass up. The Phillies have a very good road record but they are going coast to coast to start this series and that will play against them. Blanton is off the best start of the season for him but he is still switching mechanics and tweaking with details. When pitchers mess with the mechanics it is due to change during the game if things get tough. Padres are 16-5 in their last 21 home games vs. a team with a winning record and they are 7-2 in their last 9 vs. National League East. My money is on the home team to get the win.
