BU coming off a huge loss at home to American losing 56-36 [shot 1-17 from the 3]at home denying a trip to the Senior Prom...they have 2 solid gds in Watson and Irving but both are 5'10 and 6'0...very little scoring inside...rank 4th and 5th in the Pat conf in defense,FT%,FG%...have made 271-751 3's..36%...not a good rebounding team...defense is pretty good...avg 71 pts a game on off...but in the 4 games to Army and Lafayette they scored 89,90,90 and 91...lost to Harvard in ot and beat Maryland way back...lost to UConn by 17...
Illi has some talent and won 5 of last 7 B-10 games..Mich St,Iowa,etc..
Rice the transfer from Drake is there top gd who avgs 15 pts a game and is 9th in rebounding in the B-10..Abrams and Betrand are 6'2 and 6'6 gds avg in double d's..Ekey is 6'7 and is 10th in 3 pt shooting..inside they have their air craft carrier...6'11,250 Egwu who is 2nd in the B10 in blocked shots with 72{more then the entire BU team}and 1st in off bds..Illi has had trouble scoring in conf but no trouble playing defense...they hold everybody to 62 pts....2nd in B10....
Do not think BU crowd will have much of an effect..they play in tough places all yr..not to worried about where Illi heads are at...they knew they were going to the junior prom..BU thought other wise...I'm sure Groce watched tape of the BU-American game...36 pts...Illi defense will shut them down..
