Gotta love the NBA...Lakers didnt want or care to win as evident by Phil and Kobe laxidazical press conference, knowing they can and will win in LA it was easy for them to take. The line could be 25 next game and they cover it, 1st Q bets will be my only one for that game

:nono:

If you think they could cover a 25 point line yet the line is only 12 and you say that you are not going to play it.

I think the Lakers roll as well but not taking as a guarantee.
Ming did next to nothing in Game 2(3-4 from the floor in 26 minutes) and Houston hung around even came from 14 down in 1stQ to tie at half. Ming was 1-1 from floor in 1stH.
This team won 22 in arow last year without Ming.
Big game from Scola and some 3's falling and this one goes to the 4th inside 10 points.

I stopped seriously betting the NBA lastyear after the Lakers (I remember for sure) pulled some of the same stuff lastyear. Thats why my play was label just cant resist...I bet halves and games heavy lastyear and did well...after seeing and realizing its "different" I just pick a game or so here and there...
I understand Houston is scrappy and can hang around, but the Lakers seem (as pointed out in BB threads) to decide when the "turn it on" or just get through the game. Lastnight I saw NO SENSE OF URGENCY at all and come on Scola had what 15 of the first 18 points scored lastnight he should of had 50 the way he started, not sure if Kobe tried to answer the bell but I dont remember him driving the lane or "working" for a shot until they were settled in at 15 or so down. I think Lakers show dominence Sunday and Houston has a future alot of young guys and a good combination of hustlers and good role players once they get rid of the injury bug or the guys who keep getting injured they will be dangerous and for a longtime. I was just using 25 as a bloated number the Lakers will show urgency next game and the difference will be that....I dont think Kobe and Phil can wakeup Monday mornig and go to brush their teeth as they look in the mirror and say "I got bounced by Houston".

My point on Scola is somebody for Houston has to score down low and at this point he is just about only option.
You are going to be waiting a long time for Scola to score 50 in a game as he is and will never be the focal point of a team.
He does need another 20+ point 12 board game to open the floor.
Rockets clearly need 3 things to have any chance to cover much less win:
1.Big game from Scola(22/12 type game)
2.Brooks to be aggresive as Rockets play off him these days.
3.Battier has to hit his open 3's because he is getting 6 or 7 a game needs(3 or 4 not 1).

Anything positive out of Artest on offense is a bonus because he has been absent more times than not.

:toast: Funny part about it is one would think Artest would be the X factor of the offense because he IS capable of going off for 30 or so. May be fun, may not but I got a game 7 to attend myself, hopefully the Cs show a little more hunger themselves!

Yeah the Bos/Orl game should be WAY better than Hou/LA.
Difference in that game is Celtics have what I think is the best so called closer in the NBA(Pierce).
Who does Orlando turn to for a clutch shot?

If you think Houston has no chance in LA then I present you with this reminder when nobody said Houston could beat LA:

This was also the game Olajuwon was tossed for clubbing Cupchak a few times.
