list, would be interested in knowing if im missing any from this year. basically, im just listing games where the first half was on pace for a trillion points, and then the 2h just slows to an absolute crawl and people with overs get jammed really hard. thankfully i wasnt on any of these, but just wondering if people have seen any other 2nd halves that would qualify as absurd.
gonzaga/pepperdine 2nd meeting this year on espn
halftime score....gonzaga 51-42
2nd half has just 48 pts scored (27-21)
game somehow goes well under after a 93 pt 1st half
duke/carolina in the acc tourney last week
halftime score.....duke 54-33
2nd half has just 51 points scored (30-21)
game somehow goes well under after an 87 point 1st half
illinois/notre dame today
halftime score......nd 47-34
2nd half has just 47 points scored (26-21)
game goes well under after an 81 point 1st half
just for the hell of it, can anyone add any more "strange" games?
not looking for bad beats that went down to the wire necessarily, because changes in tempo happen and the pace of the game can change in an instant.
but those 3 games above off the top of my head were ridiculous.
basically looking for games that started off on a ridiculous pace, but then not only missed going over, but somehow didnt even get close to the total
