Just found out......

Just found out that my wife is expecting.


This will be our first child. Wow what an exciting time. I always wondered how I would react. It didn't really hit me until we went to the doctor. When he talked to us I was really soaking it all in. She is six weeks along, and the baby will be due on Jan. 15.

I always thought that I wanted a boy, but now I kind of want a daddy's girl. If I could have it my way I guess I would want a boy first, then a girl, so the girl would have a big brother, but the main thing is I just want it to be healthy. Anyway I know most of you dont know me, and have never heard of me, but I browse this forum everyday I just dont say much. I just wanted to tell more people how excited I am. I would love some advice as to what to expect from my wife during the pregnancy, and any other tips would be appreciated.

Congrats Chickenman, My wife's due date was today! I guess he's gonna be a procrastinator. Just kidding, they say the first child is usually a little late.

What can you expect during the pregnancy? First, no sex for alittle while. Then, All sex all the time. Then no sex again. At the very end of the pregnancy, she'll be lumberin' around moanin' and groanin' and cussin'you under her breath. Enjoy!

congrats! She'll be her biggest the coolest time of the year, so that's a very big plus for her and you. It's no fun to be 8 and 9 months pregnant in July and August. Girl or boy, I just hope the baby has 10 fingers and 10 toes, goes full term, and is healthy. Cheers!

We are still calling people and the excitement has yet to wear off.
I wish everyone could have seen the look on my moms face. I am her oldest child so this is her first grandchild. She nearly tackled my wife. It was amazing.
