There are some here that seem to be rattled by some of the outcomes of games. Here are some things to keep in mind.
1) They are still KIDS
2) They have been practicing and playing for 5 months now. There are signs of boredom from the upper echelon in conferences especially when playing a bad team. There is frustration or panic from some second tier teams and some in the basement just playing out the season or plain giving up.
3) Then you also have coaches that are simply trying to get the W while avoiding injuries or tiring out the key people heading into tournament time.
4) OH, and there is officiating
I was at the UNI/ Witch State game last Sat. A couple people on Witch State were dragging at the end of first 1/2.
UNI shot 20% and was pummeled on the boards by 14. Yet they lost by 14. It actually could have been much worse. They are now in desperation mode. They are however starting to find an identity. That said--they are going nowhere. They rely on the 3 ball which fell second 1/2 last nite. There will be nights like that but I wouldn't expect a repeat when G Mason comes to town Saturday.
In any case, FCP stepping away shows PURE WISDOM. This is that time of year MANY MJ players get punished by some of the above situations. I have cut the # of plays and amounts.
GOOD LUCK- PATIENCE AND SUCCESS TO ALL :0074 :0074
