I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS LONG AND HARD AND HAVE COME UP WITH ONE CONCLUSION. THAT IS TO SIT BACK AND WATCH THIS ONE.
YOU HAVE TWO OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE COUNTRY AND SOME OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE COLLEGE GAME GOING HEAD TO HEAD TONITE.
THE WEATHER IS VERY SHITTY AS IT HAS BEGUN TO RAIN IN NORTH MIAMI ALREADY.
I HAVE READ EVERYONE THREADS AND EVERYONE MAKES VALID POINTS AS TO WHO WILL WIN. BY NO WAY CAN THIS BE ANYONES GAME OF THE YEAR. JUST CANT BE.
IT IS EASIER TO HANDICAP TOMORROWS GAME THAN TONITES AND I CONTINUE TO READ GAME OF THE YEAR TONITE.
IOWA MAY , BUT THERE IS NO SURE WAY TO GO HERE.

I WISH EVERYONE LUCK TONITE AS THIS SHOULD BE THE MOST ENTERTAINING GAME TO THE BOWL SEASON.

JUST WAIT TO TOMORROW NITE AND WATCH OHIO ST STUN MIAMI.

I too have been back and forth on this one and everytime I think I have a solid pick it changes again. This in my opinion will be a great game and it will probably be one that is decided by a great special teams play or who turns the ball over the most. There
are just too many stat's that are alike on both sides, How ever
If there is an edge i would have to give it to USC simply because
of Iowa's longer lay-off.

From a Pac-10 guy who hates $C...they have more athletes and better speed on both sides of the ball than Iowa and $C has shown a toughness this year that they have lacked in the past 10 years.

Special teams may be a concern but I think $C has a better offense and better defense and has played a much tougher schedule.

I love Iowa and have been riding them all year but I'll take $C -4/5 in this game.

Much tougher schedule???

You are:

a) Kidding
b) Intoxicated
c) Intoxicated
d) a & b

I'll go w/ D...b/c is does not seem like you are kidding.

Wash st. was exposed last night.....and they were the best team that they had on the schedule. They beat up on a weak PAC-10 IMO...

Biggest stat...No Quality road wins all year

Now Iowa did not have a stellar schedule either..but they did prove that they can win on the road w/ BIG wins at tough places:

Ann Arbor
College Station

I think you need to re-evaluate your statement.

Good Luck.

Schedule

Schedule

Non Conference schedules

USC IOWA

Auburn Akron
Colorado Iowa ST
K State Miami Ohio
Notre Dame Utah St

Pacer I am from the Big Ten area the only passing teams Iowa played were Purdue, Miami of Ohio and Iowa State. They threw for 410,343, and 361 yards kick in the 399 yards Mills of Penn State threw against them that shows a huge weakness in the secondary. So far the Big Ten in bowls have all played running teams except Michigan which played Florida who gained over 500 yards yesterday. USC did play the toughest schedule in the country. Iowa didn't even have to play the best team in the big ten. Let's see Notre Dame beat all their Big Ten opponents USC blows them out of the water. I am a huge Badger fan and watch the big ten all the time. They struggle with teams who throw the ball. I am not saying that they will hammer IOWA but they will show they are the better team.

Greed...

Notre Dame also lost to NC State...and NC State lost to Maryland...who was ripped open by Notre Dame... ;) we could go on and on w/ these scenarios....but i will save us both the time.

Wash St. is the best team that USC had on their schedule...and they lost. The same Wash St. team that was beaten by Ohio St, the 2nd best team in the Big Ten.

Good luck w/ your wager...

USC finished the year with the #5 STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE in Div. I-A.

IOWA is #49 in S.O.S., and is 2nd worst among BCS-ranked teams (conversely, the Trojans are the best).

Schedule strength is calculated by determining the cumulative won/loss records of the team's opponent (66.6 percent) and the cumulative won/loss records of the teams' opponents opponents (33.3 percent).

In a big game situation like last nite's, gimme the team that's been through the trenches playing the tougher competition, and if not victorious in all its games, at least managed to stay very competitive and in the thick of things. There's no shame in having lost to 2 BCS teams (K-State & Wash. St.) in tough battles, and there's no other team that has played as many ranked teams as USC has this yr.

USC showed that they are worthy of being the #2 team in the land. Carson Palmer was on the $$$, Mike Williams came up with key grabs, and Justin "Huggy Bear" Fargas was a workhorse.
