Here is my view on some of the things that might come up in the debate.

Health care..I think something should be done about rising costs. The only thing I can think of off hand to cut the costs temporarily till a better fix comes in to place is for the ins companies to offer a lower premium to those that they insure if they agree to wave all lawsuits and have any malpractice case settled by an independent arbritrator. I believe that no politician can lower health costs..no matter what they tell you. The health care business will charge as much as they think the market will bear. They are right because there isnt enough compitition.
U.S. Security...Take the offensive instead of sitting back and reacting after the fact. Enough said.
Stem Cell research..If you feel that it is important to you then donate to it. The government didnt ban it. If it means that much to you then dont sit around and bitch about it. Get off your ass and donate to your cause. If only people would stop thinking that the U.S. was a money machine. We are the ones paying it thru taxes. This isnt the only program...there are probably a lot more that could be cut to save money. Also..If you dont pay any taxes..Dont Bitch.
Equal Opprotunity....there are so many laws on the book right no its not even funny. The problem with this is that those that abuse it make it harder for legitimate cases to be heard. I believe that the abusers are in the majority.
Taxes..I am sick and tired of paying for those that didnt/wouldnt put in the time and effort to better themselves with good paying jobs. Everyone in this country has the same opprotunity to better themselves. Some do and some sit back and wait for the next government program to come along to help them slide by in life.
