I always go and vote early. That way I don't have to stand in line. Got there today at 7:05 a.m. And just got home. There was a line of at least 150 maybe more. That is good to see no matter who wins. I have voted this same place for 18 years. Never have that many folks showed up that early. I was number 136 at 7: 38 a.m. When I turned and went out the door the line was still as long.
Very Surprised. But Very Proud to see this turn out.

Damn, we finally agree on something!

No matter who wins, a strong voter turnout is a great thing for this country.

They say to expect 3-5 hour long lines across Florida today. And that's with 2.5 million people voting early.

DJV:

Just got off a conference call with a Judge in an outlying county. He was there at 6:30 AM and saw a huge line. Said never seen anything like it before. Turn out could be over 120,000,000.

This may bode well for Bush. I think its mostly republicans up at 6:30 AM. Secondly, its raining all over Ohio today. That is not good news for Kerry.

hear the turnout is very heavy in Rochester NY also. Glad to see everyone exercising their right. New York is already Kerry's, but glad everyone is still going.

in and out in a half hour in north metro Atlanta. Reports on TV are saying much longer in other parts of the city. Great to see people participate!

getting scattered reports on Northern Ohio, seems that the suburbs of Cleveland have a wait ranging from 15 to 30 minutes whereas they are reporting that the inner city has waiting times of one hour to ninety minutes.

Very Happy

Very Happy

A pretty long line where I voted today. I am just so glad to see so many people voting. It is a very big election this year. A lot of young people registered this year and a lot more women are turning out and that makes me very happy.

Wow 79% would be great. Sure beats the hell out of 60% for the other high we had. Hope the country hits new record.

LOL. Don't forget minimum wagers getting off their graveyard shift though.

Good point Saul. Remember though you are in a city that has no bedtime. In nothing-to-do-but-decide-the-election Ohio, the only ones up at 6:30 AM are republicans, attorney's like moi seeking justice and college students with a hangover who got lucky the night before with some suburban commuter and are heading back to the dorm to shower up and make that 8:00 class.

All the dorks out here have a 2-3 hour wait and news just said chan 8 lines across the valley are now 4-5 hours wait time, the reason i say dorks is that you were able t vote for almost 3.5 weeks early up till last fri night at 10 pm, there were places everywhere over 14 all 5 malls had them set up and they were set up in every part of the valley, so why wait till today, and those who waited till today have to vote in their local polling spot, stupid stupid stupid ,just went up by the one school by me there must be 2000 people in line to get in it goes down 1 whole city block.

Everyone always waits till last min on things out here they don't want to disrupt their video poker or slot and bingo time. That is the most impotent thing to these blue hairs out here they kill for those seats each day you know their lucky seat. hell think i will come up with a new poker machine that has the 02 tanks in it so they don't have to hull around that green bottle or the 5 hour shoulder pack. you know when they are dragging the green bottle on wheels like a shopping cart behind them, they are in for the long hull. Hell I would be rich as hell if i could come up with that.

Hell if i were to go over to north las vegas which i won't or never would, they probably have a few goats roasting on the spit and making a block party out of the wait, those people over their love their block parties and cheap beer goat meat and 40 oz's is like christmas day to them:D
