Game looks tough on paper, especially since Aztecs won @ KU a couple years ago and ended KU's 68 game game non-conference home winning streak... it was a great San Diego State team in 2014-2015 which won 61-57 at Allen Field House in early January 2014, but this team is NOT a great team at 7-5 and really struggling on offense. They have lost to UALR (solid club) at home 49-43, West Va on a Neutral Court 72-50 (ranked club), San Diego (their Awful!) on a neutral court 53-48, Grand Canyon (they're average) on a neutral court 52-45... they did beat Cal 72-58 which is there one shiny moment and shows they have some talent.

I know KU is very inconsistent, just look at their loss to Michigan State where they were up 13 and lost plus their halftime deficit to Oregon State of 11 in Kansas City before looking better than the Sixers in the 2nd half for sure and winning by 15 and covering:toast::0074

Anyway, I see the Aztecs riding home court and staying close early, but KU should win by double digits in the end, especially since they owe these guys payback and KU still has a number of players who played in that game a couple years ago when Aztecs won 61-57 without Kawhi Leonard or Michael Cage. I was guessing KU -10 and glad with the opening number at -6 as these guys are long gone and only using their names as 2 best players in San Diego State basketball history... kind of like Marshall Faulk is by far their best football player.

Kansas -6 for 5* - Won't go huge being KU's 1st road game, but they should roll about 70-56 or more, don't want to be cocky as Aztecs play solid defense and one of the best in the nation at 35% FG defense. Keep in mind, KU just beat Montana by 42 who beat Boise at home and lost by 3 @ Gonzaga... this should be a beatdown of an Aztecs club who has had their one shiny moment.:toast::0074:mj06:

Self probably had these kids watch that game vs San Diego State a few times since Saturday from a couple years ago and KU still has a number of players from that team including their best player from 2013-2014 Perry Ellis.

This KU team is a veteran squad and will lose a few Big 12 games as OU, Iowa State, West Va, Baylor, & Texas on the road won't be easy and even Oklahoma State and Kansas State are NIT/NCAA caliber clubs. OU and Iowa State can beat anyone anywhere and I like what I have seen from West Va, Baylor might be a paper tiger, but alway tough in Waco and Texas knocked off a healthy UNC so they're decent with Shaka Smart for sure and great guards and monster in the middle in Ridley.

Anyway, KU might go 15-3 or 14-4 and win Big 12 as it's stacked fairly solid and each team plays each other home and away. I'm guessing KU 15-3 and OU or Iowa State 2nd at 14-4ish, but we'll see what happens. OU is very scary with regards to beating KU for the crown. Hield is the best player in the conference by a wide margin IMHO. I like Ellis & Niang as nice Seniors who will be lucky to sniff a NBA roster because neither are very athletic or jump well. However, each can play ball and should be late 2nd round picks or roster invites as games aren't won 100% on athletic ability. I think Hield will be a decent NBA player and should have gone pro last year... his supporting cast isn't Kansas, but he's one of OU's top 5 players ever IMHO (this includes the King/Tisdale/Blaylock/Grant/Grace/era and Hield is an average NBA player someday somewhere, though never great IMHO. KU should win the Big 12, but this conference might be the best top to bottom in country as Big 10 & ACC still have layups with bottom feeders where Big 12 really doesn't as Tubby Smith even coaches Texas Tech and TCU has some talent.

I will get to feel like biggest jack ass loser ever if this loses... don't see it happening! Right now, I have encouraged 80 Aztecs bets, but this game looks sick! Rock Chalk Jaywalk! yes, this game is that easy IMHO as KU should be -11 at least

Love the play also. I'm a sdsu alum and this is not the same competitive team in years past. They're trash to be honest. A lot of sloppy play. Line up to 6.5...expect it to be at 8 or more by tip. Let's get it!

Yes, San Diego State looks brutal IMHO.. Watched them beat Cal, but they will get clobbered tomorrow night by at 6 points!:0074:popcorn2

Thought spread would be 10/10.5 minimum! KU Owes them payback and with their existing players!

You have a good sense of history and the conference. I would not count on IA State. They have shown some chinks. Prohm was hired because he is a defensive guy. The talent in the locker room is not defense minded. He will have to make it thru the season with what he was handed. They will play "exciting fun- fan basketball" but I am not convinced they can duplicate last year. They are a juggernaut at Hilton. Yet, they let Utoff put 30 up last week in the first half. Washpun (UNI) blitzed them on Saturday. You can't let that stuff continue. Eventually it will take a toll.

That said, they might develop as the year progresses. Another key is they need to stay healthy. With Long out for the year, the bench got shorter. When the conference starts there will certainly be some fun games to watch. It also holds some great opportunities in the right spot for MJackers.

Yes, I like Kansas in this spot also.

BOL the rest of the season D D.

Nice KU 70-57 win and won big taking KU 1st half for 5* -3.5 -105/ KU game -6 for 10*/ Aztecs 2nd half +2.5 4* local line. Worked out well... Sorry I didn't post final plays, but was busy.

As for Iowa State, they have zero depth, but a solid starting 5 and Hilton will always be tough with arguably best home fans in college hoops (might be stretching, but they are Crazy) I think OU is the 2nd best in Big 12 and KU is the best team as they are probably deepest club in country, but very inconsistent. Spartans wanted that game in November a lot more than KU and Valentine was insane and best player on the court. Right now, KU could win it all or be bounced 2nd round with there wild inconsistency. Still, if it was best of 7, KU would win the tournament, but it's one bad game and you are done. Kansas has a hard time being consistent which is why I would guess 15-3 or 14-4 in Big 12 and still win the deepest conference in the country as 5 teams ranked of 10 and unranked Texas beat UNC. Even Kansas State and Oklahoma State are not easy games at their places.
