cant get a bunt down not once but 3 times ...

both "cleanup hitters' combined 0-8 w/ nothing out of the infield

both " cleanup hitters " Left on base = 13

Buth " designated hitters" combined 1 for 5

37 total men left on base

18 hits and 13 walks and only 5 runs

If there was a worse game -- I cant recall it

I don't have a problem with the 95 cents today. Hell, I don't have a problem with 283 dollars. Now the 117,000.....:look:

The total payroll for the Jays is around $52 million, meaning Delgado makes up 36.5% of the entire budget!

We don't have a problem getting up for the so-called better teams," Jays first baseman Carlos Delgado said after the last-place Royals scored a pair of runs on a Mike Sweeney double in the ninth to hand Toronto its second straight defeat in front of 29,309 at Kauffman Stadium

Delgado, in a 3-for-32 slump and hitting just .122 in May, stranded seven runners and erased an eighth on a double-play grounder.

"If right-handers were throwing I would still be sucking," said Delgado, refusing to blame the recent string of lefties for a slump similar to what he endured the first two weeks of the season.

"It's not what they're throwing, it's the (anxious) way I'm swinging."
