Keep 'em doggies movin'....NCAA Bowl Games

I always like to try and find teams that are motivated or more importantly, teams that AREN'T motivated to play in their particular Bowl Game. In the New Mexico Bowl, I think both teams will be motivated to play. New Mexico on their home turf (although I don't think the crowd will be much of a factor) and UTSA playing in their very first Bowl Game. I know the wind might be a factor in this game and the total keeps dropping, but I'm playing this game over.

In the Las Vegas Bowl, I think we have a definite motivational advantage. Houston at one time was hoping for a much bigger Bowl Game. They also lost their Head Coach when Tom Herman left for Texas. I just can't see the Cougars putting a whole lot of effort into today's game. Houston is 0-7 the last 7 times they have been installed as the favorite this year! On the other hand, S D State doesn't have that far to travel and I'm assuming will have a bigger fan-base at this game. SD State is +10 in turnover margin this year (Houston is -3). And I was amazed to find out that this is the first time all year that the Aztecs are installed as an underdog. I think that is motivation right there! I'm taking SD State as a Double Play for me.

TULSA over 69 1/2 L

Tulsa's high powered offense has scored over 40 points 9 times this year! They rank 8th in rushing, 11th in scoring and 6th in total offense. That should bode well vs a Central Michigan team that surrendered an average of 30 points per game in the MAC! But Tulsa also gives up a 32 points per game, so I can see Central getting a few scores too. Today's forecast in the Miami area for the 2:30 PM kickoff is the low 80's with a 10% chance of rain and 10 mph winds. If Tulsa can at least get in the 40's, I won't lose both and could very well win both.

Thanks Owens! Tulsa D is a little concerning, but I'm hoping Tulsa's offense is hitting on all cilynders today. But I guess you never know in a bowl game. Good luck to you throughout the Bowls!

Tough, tough break on the over. Central Michigan is just bad. I will be playing against the MAC the rest of the way. Liked ODU anyway, now like them more. Will be on Troy also this week. MAC is a bad conference.

Friday 12/23

Navy has made me good money all year long, but after that debacle vs Army, there's only one way for me to go here. W/O Navy's brilliant starting QB Worth, they just aren't the same team. Navy's defense isn't very good either (gives up 260 yards passing per game). I think La Tech who averages 360 yards through the air, should be able to pass the ball at will! I can honestly see La Tech getting in the high 40's, maybe even the 50's. In their last 8 games, La Tech's high powered offense has scored in the 40's 3 times, in the 50's twice and in the 60's twice. I just don't see Navy stopping them. I'm playing...

BASON....I know you're going against the MAC and I kinda agree with you. About the ONLY MAC team I am even considering is Ohio U. At least they play some D and I've always liked Solich and think he's a really good coach. But Troy is pretty good too. I'm thinking that should be a heck of a game!
