N CAROLINA -3 -120 Double Play
This is Frank Beamer's last home game at Va Tech, so I expect the Hokies to play well. But North Carolina is playing some of the best football in the nation and they have a great offense, with 0 turnovers in their last three games. The Tarheels scored 59 points last week and 66 points the week before. They are also looking for some national recognition and a big win today and next week at NC State will put them in a pretty good position going into their showdown with Clemson in the ACC Championship game. A playoff berth is not out of the question and they know a big win today will open some eyes. I'm taking N CAROLINA -3 -120 Double Play.
PENN STATE +3 Double Play
The great defense at Michigan has surrendered almost 28 points a game in their last 4 games. On the other hand Penn State plays really good defense at home, giving up only 3, 7 and 0 points in their 3 Big Ten Home games! Maybe only giving up 3 to Rutgers isn't note-worthy, but shutting out Illinois and only surrendering 7 points to a potent Indiana offense ain't too shabby! I think Penn State wins this game today, but I'll take the points just in case. I'm on PENN STATE +3.
