Should be a great game. Ohio State lost a ton to the NFL...but a lot of those guys, had guys behind them who were just as good, and maybe even better, a year later. Texas has both of their projected starting offensive tackles not playing today...that could be a problem for the Longhorns, although I'm sure Texas has capable back-ups, too. Protect the QB on offense and get after the QB on defense, that's what wins football games. I follow Ohio State very closely and I feel their offensive line SHOULD be very, very good this year. Now the Longhorns has guys on defense that can get after the QB, too...so this will go a long way in determining who wins today. It's hard to know exactly what you got, until you play a couple of games...and this game is no different. One last thing, Ohio State got the TE from Purdue in the transfer portal, Max Klare...this guy is a dude and I look for him to have a big season and maybe a huge game today, if Texas keys on the Ohio State WR's. Finely, I'm not that impressed with the Texas Head Coach, Sarkisian...I've seen him screw up a game or two, including last year's playoff game vs Ohio State!
I'm taking Ohio State because they are at home...and now, they are the underdog...giving them the "we get no respect" attitude. How much does that help? I don't know, but it sure as hell doesn't hurt! OHIO STATE 27 - TEXAS 24
