4-3

2-1 yesterday and my loser was Ohio State...and boy, was I ever wrong about them. I thought 3+ weeks off, they could fix their O-line problems. Not only did they not fix the O-line issues, those issues were worse! I'm sure you know this by now... counting last year, 5 teams in the Playoffs have had a 1st round bye (4 last year and Ohio State last night)...all 5 of those teams have lost their follow-up game! I think all 5 of those teams were favorites, too! Is that a coincidence? I think not. A 3.5 week layoff is supposed to help your team, instead it has turned out to be a curse. Now it's only been 5 games...granted, that is a small sample size. But the fact remains...5 first round byes was followed with 5 second round loses! It will be interesting to see how the three teams (Texas Tech, Indy, Georgia) with 1st round byes, play today. Back to the Miami game...you have to give the 'Canes a lot of credit, they played a great game and most definitely deserved to win.

For what it's worth, here's who I played today...I made these wagers three weeks ago.

Happy New Year!

One more time, the team coming off the bye, looked like shit! But then Texas Tech hasn't played anybody worth a shit all year! You have to be pretty inept offensively to get shut out in college football and these first round byes, which are supposed to reward teams, have proven to be a curse! Next up Indiana...coming off a bye. I made my wager on Indiana 3 weeks ago and if I was smart, I should cancel and not buck the trend, but every frickin time I cancel a bet, it cashes!

Hold steady! Indiana has a great defense, coach, and QB. Should be a good game though soooo.
