Ken Burns film on Thomas Jefferson pt.1 on WNED in 5 hours

I haven't seen it but have seen several other of his films and they've all been pretty good.

As for the subject matter, I've heard and read a fair bit about Jefferson; enough to convince me that he was one of the better politicians that our world has seen.

Maybe should post in the poli-forum, but, maybe not...kind of trying to avoid that dive.

WNED is a Buffalo station. Not sure who might have access, but I do here in T.O.

Hey Gm have you ever heard of this guy Dick Proenneke? Just a fascinating story in my opinion. He has a tape of himself called Alone in the Wilderness. Check it out sometime. There is a ten minute piece on You tube about it. You have to see what this guy did.

I don't think it is for me. A little too slow and not educational. I like the ones that I can learn from...but this just seems like a narrative without much meat.

You have to get the whole film. I tried to watch that clip to and the first three minutes i thought i was watching something different. It is non educational tho. Just a fascinating story in my opinion.
