St. Peter's vs. Kent State -12.5 O/U 126
Kent State is expected to be down two starters for tonight's tournament game against St. Peter's in Logan, Utah. Senior point guard Michael Porrini (foot) has not practiced all week and 6-11 center Justin Manns was suspended and did not travel with the team. St. Peter's struggles to score with a terrible offensive efficiency (309th nationally), but the Peacocks did push pace with their reserves after falling way behind to up-tempo Long Island last Saturday. St. Peter's ended up losing 82-80 but it was the team's highest scoring output of the season?by 14 points.
?We?ll only have 11 guys on scholarship for the tournament, one who is less than 100 percent and hasn?t practiced in a week,? said Senderoff.
?I can tell you this, no matter how many guys we have suited up against Saint Peter?s, every one of them will check in during the first half,? Senderoff said. ?How much they?ll play I don?t know, but everyone will check in in the first 20 minutes. I?ve made that determination already.?
?They are really going to try to control the tempo,? said Senderoff. ?They are a good defensive team, and they?ll want to keep the game in the 50s. I know our guys will be ready. They haven?t played a game in 10 days, so they are looking forward to just getting on the court against somebody else.?
