We all got a little heated in here at times. This was an important election and passion was strong. I was out of line a few times, for that Im sorry.

I now turn my attention to beer and sports.

The only thing worse than a sore loser is a sore winner. When someone offers an olive branch you should take it rather than kicking them when they are down.

Take care Freeze.

If Bush were conservative I may have voted for him. However he is a radical. Anyway he won youre happy. You said all along he would win, good for you and congrats. I thought Bush would win until about 3 weeks ago, I let myself get to optimistic. I never felt that Bush was my president until today. This time he was fairly elected by the people with a mandate. I will rally around My president and my country. the country has spoken and the country is as far to the right as it has ever been and I don't see it coming back.

God bless and let's beat the book.

he is far from a radical....but he is far from a conservative....

i am much more happy about the Senate outcome....other than the nomination of judges, I dont see much difference between Kerry and Bush other than Bush is less likely to be a politician rather than demonstrate leadership.....

my hope is that the Senate now has enough plurality to get the feds out of our lives and return power to the states.....if that means worse state budgets and more state taxes in exchange for reduced federal taxes i am for it.....$$== power....

also like the fact that with reduced taxes charities' flourish which is where the real social work is done in this country.....

also think that our economy is going in a new direction as we lose blue collar jobs and service industry and management positions will continue to increase as new markets are opening and costs of doing business is decreasing......its a tough cycle if you are caught in the middle of it but ultimately its rewardig for our standard of liviing.....

That seems to be the big difference between democrats and republicans. If kerry would have won we would not have acted like it was the worst day of our lives as republicans, but look at all the democrats on here its the end of the world, im moving to canada. They blame all their problems on the president like its his fault its rediculous. Life goes on fellas do somthing with it instead of complain for the next 4 years like every democrat did for the last 1yr of bush's term. Its not his fault your life is shitty its yours

Maybe if you were in that majority middle, you wouldn't sound so smug?

What new markets are opening, and where are these decreases in costs?

well, my wife and i take in just less than the median....i guess that makes us middle....but regardless nothing is more annoying than an insult of being "smug" based on an economic theory/proposition

here are your answers:
1. India, China, to some extent the middle east and africa

2. Decreases in costs are what everyone is complaining about...jobs done for cheaper overseas....its hard but part of the growing pains and there are ways to adapt and capitalize on these changes instead of being crippled by them....i believe that most Americans are capable of picking themselves up after adversity and doing just that -- being innovative and recovering

The "smugness" stems from your blithe feelings about thousands of people losing nice paying jobs in this country, so they can be shipped over seas for pennies on the dollar, and how that will shake out to be a boon for the country.

Sounds grate until you face the fact that "Joe Lunch-box" could afford that item when he was working at the "factory" for a decent wage. Now, the item is made for a lot less over seas, and shipped back here to be sold at a slightly lower cost than before. (Hey, we don't want to hurt the corporate bottom line!) Sounds real nice, but now "Lunch-box" can't afford it anyway, so it goes unsold in this country, or purchased by the 15% who can buy it.

No, this outsourcing is not so good.

I am guessing if it was feasible to go to Indonesia to get a cavity filled for $1.99, you would sing a different tune.

What did Freeze do? Went to school worked hard became sucsessfull, and now he is being rewarded from it. There are still alot of jobs out there they are just lower paying, so many of these people who lost thier $15 an hour jobs wont work for $9. These people have to make the breaks happen for them. They cant just wait around expecting to catch a break.

Class act Clem. Like your demeanor. The argument could go on. But no need. We have four more years of Mr. Bush. In my opinion and my vote the right man for the job. We shall see. God bless our nation.
