hopeful thinking

hopeful thinking

you may think positively in this cases, but cold truth there is just a slim chance in cases like this for the kid to make it out of a wheelchair. As a M.D. i had a few and always tried to comfort in first stages but finally the spinal cord tissue can't still be regenerated. Maybe soon with stem cell technology some of this fine athletes can be brought back to normal life, but as of now we just stay with hopeful thinking of a positive outcome.

after he got hit, the camera was zoomed way in on him from a field level camera...the announcers were talking away about something else entirely and this dude is just laying on the ground twitching...

it really wasn't the prettiest thing to witness, and the camera was on him for what seemed like a minute or so...

gotta say, it seemed like a pretty normal hit. wasn't much to it. you could see in slow motion tho that right after he made contact his whole body went limp. the guy that he hit was fine and I was surprised that he got that severly injured off of what seemed like an average tackle...

hope he makes it out alright, i'm pulling for him

Yeah, I know at this point he's not "miraculously cured". But the news is good. I just hope its accurate and the he can at the least walk again.

At the same time its become hard to pull for the guy knowing Blitz is also pulling for him. I'll try my best...

I coach my son's team and he did exactly what we constantly teach the kids NOT to do. He put his head down and led with his helmet. Whenever I see one of our kids do that in practice I make sure and stress to them not to tackle that way cause you can be really hurt...
