What I was afraid of. I said just dont make stupid mistakes. We are losing more men to accidents and stupid mistakes then by any Iraq soldiers. In fact we dont seem to have many even shooting at us. Just a dam shame. I Feal so sorry for there families. This last incedent with a us soldier turning on his own is real sad.

These accidents are indeed very sad - yesterday one of my friends Andy died - he was one of the helicopter pilots on Ark Royal - he leaves behind a wife who is 5 months pregnant - a child will never see their father - I cannot believe I will never see him again.

Terrible news Ian, prayers to the family as well.

I just learned yesterday that a guy who went to my High School, graduating a year after me, will have his leg amputated after his fellow Naval soldier stepped on a remote mine. They said the shrapnel blew most of his right lower leg off.

Never knew the guy but hope to one day meet him and thank him for his bravery in Iraq.
