Tenn -11 over Nova
Lady Vols are 43-0 at home in the Big Dance.Gets to play again tonite in the gym with the ugly shaded orange all over.
Harry and Pat are friends.Shared offenses together and Harry was over Pats house for a barb-q the other day.
Nova runs its motion offense,waits till 7 seconds and then shoots.They shoot from the 3 and that offense stopped Conn and many others.They want to dictate tempo.
Tenn is "run,run,run,till your daddy takes the T-bird away".Pats plays that uptempo style, rebounds,pressure defense,runs transition,rebounds,pounds the ball inside and rebounds.
Nova has no post defense to stop Jackson and Ely.
Harry can run all the motion offenses he wants but Tenn has "greyhounds".And I think they will challange Nova's open shots.Going back door on the Vols will happen,but Vols are so athletic they can recover.Quickness is the key.
Tenn outrebounded Penn St by 25 bds and beat them 86-58.Nova beat Penn St by 7 in OT but was outrebounded by them 25-18.
Back door cover is a possibilty since Harry and Pat are friends.I could see Tenn up by 15-18 pts with 2 minuts and the subs come in.Nova hits a few 3's and thats all she wrote.
But I'll take my chances...
Texas Tech +6.5 over Duke
TT is playing better.Will have Alburquerque crowd behind them.Duke has not been playing well so everyone is waiting for breakout game.Offense has had a hard time scoring despite having Alana Beard,maybe the best player in the nation.Both teams have depth but TT has a high powered offense.Duke plays great D.Something has to give but I'll take the Texas T and the 6.5 pts.They have a good shot at winning outright esp. if the crowd gets behind them.
Lost both games yest. Terrible.
Only one team left as a No.1 seed.It's Texas and they were killed by Dickie and co for being a No.1 seed.

Over 31 kids from my HS are now over there serving their country.Over 6 of my former basketball players.And 3 of them are on the the same boat USS Teddy Roosevelt.What are the odds of that.
