As most know, betting the Lakers to cover the spread has not proven profitable in the playoffs. You have to pick and chose your spots. Therefore, I'm not playing game one. If I did I would take the Nets +7.5
After a very unimpressive showing against Portland and the Spurs, the Lakers did show me some determination in the hard fought series against the Kings. I believe that they are clearly focused and determined to retain the NBA Championship for the third straight year.
I've picked up a few units during this season, so I'm prepared to risk a few for a shot at the series.
Lakers for the series -$750 for 5 units
Lakers to win in 6 games +$225 risking 4 units
As long as the Lakers win the series I'm guaranteed a profit.
If they win in 6 games my net win is 14 units.
And......if they don't win, I'll be an unhappy fan, and will have given back some of my profits from the season.
