Ok, I haven't bet much this year on the NBA but I follow it pretty closely. What's the story on this game? Pick Em? Yes I know they are huge rivals and all that, but LAL has an absolutely brutal road record and now they are playing at a team that has lost, what, 3 games all year at home? 3GL streak for the Kings but do they have serious problems or what? The Lakers were playing better for a brief time but it seems to me they've fallen back into their losing ways again.

I see the line opened at Sac -2 and the money's pouring in on LA and it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Just stumped. Anyone?

Sac is without Chris Webber and they recently lost to Utah at
home. LA is revenging a loss that they took in their own building earlier this season. They are playing much better, as seen in their game against the suns. I myself hate the Lakers, but the Kings are gonna have to have a great game to get through this one without Webber.

I'm not so sure, money is pouring in on the lakers as much as you think. I think Vegas is begging people to take Sacramento at home. Some idiot on the lakers opened his mouth about them being .500 before the all-star break meaning they must win here. They have usually backed up their media statements. David Stern and the rest of the NBA need the lakers in the playoffs and need these two teams to have a rivalry. They also need a 7 game series out of them in the playoffs. Sacramento playing without C Webb, and pretty tired and banged up. Lakers are starting to play better, and no matter what, will make the playoffs (even if stern has to kick some western conference teams out of the league). I think the Lakers win convincingly tonight on national tv as a statement game saying that they are back and the ship is righted.

Here in Chicago they have a sports talk show contest in which the callers have to pick several games correct against the spread. They take about 10 contestants and its a great barometer for who the squares love. The Lakers/Kings games was one of the games and every single contestant took the Lakers; most of them cited the Webber absence. Never mind the fact the Kings have played well w/out Webber plenty of times in the past.

FWIW, all but one of the contestants took the "over" in the Pro Bowl.
