AWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas swingman Keith Langford missed practice Wednesday because of a recurrence of the flu and remains questionable for the Jayhawks' NCAA tournament opener against Bucknell.
Kansas will play Friday night in Oklahoma City as the third seed in the Syracuse Regional.
Langford, a senior averaging 14.7 points, missed the Big 12 tournament after spraining his left ankle in the March 6 regular season finale against Missouri. He also spent last Thursday and Friday in the hospital with the flu. After working out with the team on Monday, Langford was held out of Tuesday's practice because he aggravated his ankle.
``He moved pretty good on it, but not great,'' coach Bill Self said. ``He tweaked it there at the end, so that kind of set him back for the rest of the day.''
Self said the flu left Langford tired after practice Monday, but that doctors ``seem to think by Friday his stamina is going to be OK as far as the sickness goes.''
Self said Langford's ankle is a bigger concern than the flu.
Also forward Christian Moody is not yet fully recovered from a staph infection in his left knee.
``His whole deal is not getting it hit,'' Self said. ``With that kind of infection, you can't put any pressure on the area where it is infected.''
