Going out for a few days in August and really dont feel like dragging along the clubs but want to play a round or two.

Has anyone ever rented clubs from some of the nicer places, and are they decent?

Keep in mind Im a bogey golfer so it's not like I need fitted clubs, but I dont want to rent shitty-ass sticks either.

The clubs will be nice. Usually run around 25-40 to rent. I think the course we played a few weeks back rented calloway x-18.

On the course!
BARTER!

These places are bleeding through their eyes right now. Call, and ask their rates, and then ask them "what they can do for you".

If nothing else, pay for the regular rate, and tell them you'll only play if they toss in the rentals.

I think you'd be surprised right now at what you might get away with.

Thanks for the advice boys.....you at least convinced me to keep the sticks at home and travel lighter.

I'll be playing Bali Hai I think as it seems to be part of the golf package the Mirage is offering for their 20-year anniversary special.

Bali Hai is tight, real tight. Not a lot of room for mistakes and the "rough" is a white sand that seems to be everywhere. Good luck finding your ball in that stuff.

Have fun and hit em straight. If you want to play a solid course for a much cheaper rate, look into Legacy in out in Henderson.

This is where we played. Solid course and relatively cheap.
