Late Night: 6-3

With a slew of late games thought I would get at this a bit earlier than usual.

Mets VS San Diego
Expos VS LA
Pitt VS Arz
Fla VS SF

back in a bit....

I really like the pitching advantages that go to the Mets & Pirates. I think at least one of these pitchers continues in their groove tonight. Like LA & SF too, but don't want to lay the chalk as I respect both dogs here. Maybe a parlay?

For what it is worth.....

Great insight phoenix I appreciate it...

I almost never play a total in the first game of a series because I don't have an umpire however I think the under in SanDiego may be worth a look. These teams cannot hit the ball well. The under is 14-6 in this series in the last five years, to include two out of the three games they have played this year. The mets have the worst batting average in the big leagues at .245, and against righties in the last ten they are only hitting .229. The Padres are not much better of late as they are only hitting .230 against right handers in the last ten.

Pitching will also help this category as Trachsel has been throwing very well of late with and era of 1.23 allowing opponents to hit just 1.60 against him. his last two starts in san diego both went under with final score of 1-0, and 5-1.
Hernondon only has two starts this year, but they were both under the total as he pitched well. His home start was a better outing as he pitched 7 innings allowing just four hits and two earned runs.
Finally both ullpens have also pitched decent of late and I look for this to go under. The number is small but the money is good.

UNDER 8.5 (even)

if you can get the ump early enough and he is an under ump, this play looks even better.
