Weeeeeeell.....I don't know whether LBJ actually said any of that or not.

But I do know that he said that Democrats would lose the South "for a generation" when he signed the civil rights legislation.

He was a bit off. It's been three generations, and southerners are still willing to cuts their own nuts off by voting for Republicans.
