Same thing I heard today. I did hear Wash offered him the job but wanted to know an answer asap and he said he wanted to see what Tech had to offer first. Washington said they had to move on then.

Maybe so, but it's not what he told one of his assistant coachs. He said they put him under the gun and he didn't want to give them an answer until he heard back from Tech.

I think Tech will really hurt themselves if they don't come up with a good chunk of change for him. What else short of National Championship could a coach do there? Who the hell would want to go there in the future if they know they can have 1 loss and not get paid.

This is a situation where Leach is the perfect fit for the program, and the program is a perfect fit for the coach. He has a chance to hold a gun to their heads, and should, but the reality is everyone wins if he stays, and if he goes........not great for anybody ( except Leach's accountant)
