I don't want to burst your bubble, but you are probably already on a car ride from hell to S Bend- this venture is justified by bringing the two 11 yr old kids. They will always remember that....just like I remember going to a game @ S Bend - USC 1998. SC blew a 17-20 pt. lead @ half- they both sucked @ the time. Drove down from Chi.

I've never been so unimpressed in my life. I was expecting these hallowed gounds yada yada. That place is a concrete eyesore. Absolutely no "fun" people tailgating. Your mascot is "The Irish", put a bar or pub within 2 miles of the stadium- Chili's doesn't count. I know 4 of 5 Catholics feel a divine right to ND. I have friends that played there. I'm not a hater- just calling it like I've seen it. Bottom line, South Bend, IN is South Bend, IN. I should have gone when I was 11.

Nice effort 38 - Nil. Ran into some buddies tonight who just returned from the PAC 10 smack down in Indiana via private jet. What a life. I would disclose names, but discretion is probably better. To be a corporate golden child...."Jeeves fire up the Jet- we shall be traveling to South Bend this morning." If I had that jet I would of chosen a different destination. Fight On!

i made the 9 hour drive to south bend 2 years ago. by far, of all the campuses i have visited (michigan state, south carolina, pepperdine, ohio state, buffalo, virginia tech, virginia, michigan and syrACUSE, nd HAS THE NICEST CAMPUS! MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE CATHERDRAL!!!! true, its not a party school like some others (tailgating), but no school matches the history found on campus. Even its landscaping is top notch.

Even though they got their a$$e$ handed to them :00hour I hope you still enjoyed yourself. I've only been up there once for football and the tradition (as much as I hate ND) is awesome. Glad you got to go and experience that.
