west coast has been dicey for me this year but see a few i like:

portland+4.5 (s clara)...pilots had a great 1st half vs zaga but zags took over 2nd half...clara ain't zaga & if port can maintain its 40% trey shooting could see an on-the-floor w...1*

pepperdine-2 (st mary's)...this line is small for a good reason, gaels are a tough group, did well vs zaga a few games back, i like'em a lot...but the recent emergence of diawara for the waves in the last 3(?) games has not only added scoring punch but also given mcgowan a little more breathing room & should be the diff...hate to go against the gaels but think it's pepper @ home (malibu, gimme a break--i'm looking @ 10" of drifting powder out my window) in what should be a great game...1*

zaga-19.5 (s diego)...i don't care if they play this underwater... the "d" in sd has nothing to do w/ "defense", don't know if they're the leaders in pts against but if not, they gotta be a close 2nd...zags 83.2 ppg in wcc play, goodnight, sleep tight...1*

in other action: most guys i talk w/ hate duke & almost always bet against 'em--i don't know why, unless the hate comes from losing the bets...anyway, they look pretty good to me & i'm sure fla st's recent 2-game success will be all the motivation needed to avoid any letdown, lookahead or any other term used to identify a weaker effort by the dukies--in cameron, i might add...lotsa chalk, but when isn't it?...duke-18, 1*

lookin @ a few more, gl, caper
