LEM BANKER: Super Bowl Pick...

30 UNIT* Pittsburgh Steelers

About Lem Banker,Lem Banker has never held a job in his life, yet he lives in a luxurious house in one of the best neighborhoods of Las Vegas, buys a new Cadillac or Mercedes when the windows get dirty, and gets out of bed if and when he feels like it. There seem to be color television sets - sometimes two or three - in every room of the house. He has plenty of time for the extended workouts with weights and track shoes that have kept his physique in the shape it had when he was playing basketball at the U of Miami.

Where did this affluent, do-it-my-way lifestyle come from?

From betting on sporting events - and winning. In fact, Lem Banker may be the only person who makes his living solely from the proceeds of winning wagers. "I've never drawn a pay check in my life," he says with quiet pride. He's also the only man whose football opinion is so respected he can move the line with a $500 bet.
"Lem Banker is in a class by himself. I've seen hundreds come and go over the years, some of them pretty good handicappers, but Lem's still here." - Sonny Reizner, Former Sports Book Director, Desesrt Inn, Castaways

"Lem Banker is arguably the most successful sports bettor in America. His insights and understanding of this difficult exercise are unparalleled and his reputation unmatched." - Mort Olshan, publisher of The Gold Sheet

"The top pro football selector in the country." - Fred Klein, Wall Street Journal

"He does better with his bets - his investments - than brokers do with blue-chip stocks." - Manny Topol, New York Newsday
"The reason I am successful is that I am a disciplined player. That's the only way to survive the test of time. You've got to dedicate yourself to the rules. If the price isn't right, pass it up. A team might look great one game and I know they will be overpriced next time so I'll go against public opinion. Some great pricemakers never saw a ball game. You've got to respect the posted line and then go out and get the best price. Never let one game knock you out of action. If you play a lot of games as I do, bet two or three percent on each game and no more than five to seven percent of your gambling bankroll on your best bets. As the season progresses and you are playing with their money, then you can step it up a bit. Go out and get those best prices. Remember that what you save is what you earn."
LEM BANKER'S RULES:
1. Bet against public opinion.
2. Do not try to play catch-up by increasing your wagers when losing.
3. Increase your wagers when winning.
4. What you save is what you earn. Shop! Shop! Shop!
5. Be prepared. Do your homework. You're only as good as your information.
6. Bet only 2% to 5% of your bankroll on any one game.
7. Don't be afraid to pass on a game. There will be another tomorrow.
8. Play by the numbers, not your heart.
9. Don't bet a game just because it's on television.
"He's not a price maker, but a price breaker." - Dick Young, Daily News
"The world's most respected gambler" - Bob Arum, Fight Promoter
"After decades betting sports, Banker is perhaps the most consistent winner in this city of glitter and boasts." - Roger Dianne, Sports Form, Las Vegas.

I'd rather know what Brandon Lang picks. He is 17-1-2 documented. All of the service plays I've seen thus far have been on the Steelers and the under.

I hope Lem Banker is wrong on this one. Go Pack!

I seen that he has Pitt +1.5 for the first half for 100 dimes...that is his only play as of now for the game. Last year he had Colts ML for the whole game and lost but if he would of just bet the Colts first half he would of won...so that's why he is just betting the first half. That's what I have seen and heard.

Brandon Lang's
Tale of the Tape
- 3,245.7 dimes - all sports combined since September 1, 2007
- 771 dimes in the NFL last season, including -289 in the playoffs
- 161.5 dimes in college football last season.
- 192.5 dimes in college basketball this season.
- 207 dimes in baseball last season.
- 172.5 dimes in the NBA this season.

Think those numbers were from last year, sure he still sucks. Why anyone would follow him is beyond me.

And if you believe that "documented" super bowl record you are nuts.

Lem's grandkids stole his money years ago when he was in the hospital when they possessed power of attorney .He was so broke, years ago he turned tout.He always prided himself on giving free picks to the little guy.
