Lem Banker

The World's Most Successful Sports Bettor

Lem Banker has never held a job in his life, yet he lives in a luxurious house in one of the best neighborhoods of Las Vegas, buys a new Cadillac or Mercedes when the windows get dirty, and gets out of bed if and when he feels like it. There seem to be color television sets - sometimes two or three - in every room of the house. He has plenty of time for the extended workouts with weights and track shoes that have kept his physique in the shape it had when he was playing basketball at the U of Miami.

Where did this affluent, do-it-my-way lifestyle come from?

From betting on sporting events - and winning. In fact, Lem Banker may be the only person who makes his living solely from the proceeds of winning wagers. "I've never drawn a pay check in my life," he says with quiet pride. He's also the only man whose football opinion is so respected he can move the line with a $500 bet.

------------------------

"Lem Banker is in a class by himself. I've seen hundreds come and go over the years, some of them pretty good handicappers, but Lem's still here."

Sonny Reizner, Former Sports Book Director, Desert Inn, Castaways

-------------------------

"Lem Banker is arguably the most successful sports bettor in America. His insights and understanding of this difficult exercise are unparalleled and his reputation unmatched."

Mort Olshan, publisher of The Gold Sheet

--------------------------

"The top pro football selector in the country."

Fred Klein, Wall Street Journal

---------------------------

"He does better with his bets - his investments - than brokers do with blue-chip stocks."

Manny Topol, New York Newsday

-----------------------------

"He's not a price maker, but a price breaker."

Dick Young, Daily News

------------------------------

"One of the hardest ways to make money is through your local bookmaker, legal or otherwise. Many individuals have tried; few have succeeded. Out of the few, there is only one I know of that has, year in and out, not only stayed ahead(way ahead), but has remained married, raised a family and kept a healthy twinkle in his eye. This unique person is....

Lem Banker."

I still think it's important to point out his past 3 years have been pretty terrible. I have serious doubts that he knows what he is doing anymore, but the guy's like 80-something years old. Can't really hold a couple bad years against a guy who had a 50-year hot streak... but... well....
