Call it a homer play if you like.....but I think this game is setting up to be a big let down type game for Denver. Consider:

2 Weeks ago--Denver plays at home on the big stage (Monday Night Football) and takes out the undefeated Ravens

Last week--Another big stage with the Sunday Nighter, taking on their hated rival Oakland

This week--they fly to Cleveland for a non-divisional game...one week BEFORE the undefeated Colts come calling...

Let Down??? Look ahead?? I think so..:yup

Throw in....

Brownies off a bye and have 2 weeks to prepare. Embattled O-Coordinator Carthon MUST be a little more creative and have some results or may be looking for a job next week. The bye also gives their banged up corners an extra week to heal Bodden will play, Baxter likely...

Denver is having all kinds of trouble scoring. Jason Elam has more points than the rest of the team COMBINED.

Denver's front 4--all former Brownies have started to talk a little junk... Ruben Droughns gets a chance to 'prove' to his former team (that traded him) that they made a mistake....

Throw in a favorable underdog line (currently 4 1/2)....an expected low scoring game (Vegas total currently at 31)....a potential for rain in the forecast....and it looks as though points will certainly be at a premium. This games just smells like a 13-10, 17-13 type of affair.

Sure, Denver is 4-1...and the Browns are 4-1. The Browns coulda/shoulda beat New Orleans in Week 1.....coulda/shoulda beat Baltimore...and hung in tight against Carolina, with the tide turning on a turnover. In my very humble opinion, this game sets up VERY nicely for a desperate Cleveland team. And it doesn't hurt that it IS Denver coming to town, a team that Clevelanders still have past demons to exercise against when Elway did his thing....:cursin:

Not calling for the outright, but I will gladly take Cleveland and the 4 1/2

Other opinions certainly welcome!

I agree great spot for the Browns and bad spot for the Broncos whom Im not totally sold on anyway. Jake Plummer is a pretty bad QB and the Browns faithful may be that 12th man theyll need to pull an upset here. Good thoughts
