Apparently Yahoo Sports has over 100 hours of jailhouse interviews with Shapiro for this investigation.

Dan Wetzel: 'Just about anything you could possibly come up with, Nevin Shapiro did it at Miami.' 'You've never had a booster of this magnitude & hand it all over to the NCAA.'

What gets me is how former AD Paul Dee and current Univ. President Donna Shalala are "SHOCKED" to find out about these accusations.

The guy tries to punch out the University Compliance Director in the Orange Bowl press box yet was welcome at a basketball fundraiser several months later where he presented a $50K donation check to Shalala and the head basketball coach.

In case you wonder why I keep bringing up the former AD Paul Dee....

THIS HAPPENED UNDER HIS WATCH and he is now the chairman of the NCAA committee on infractions. This is why the NCAA needs to go.

Here is the picture of Shapiro handing Shalala a $50K check 6 months AFTER he tried to punch out the University Compliance Director.

as I said in another thread, I'm sure Al Golden now wishes he was back at Temple waiting for JoePa to retire.

I'm honestly tired of the articles and reports of infractions coming up. As long as the NCAA is permitted to completely disregard precedent and apply punishment in a very different way to different Universities, its all just a joke.

They'll look the other way for one school, bury another and accept self-imposed sanctions from a third.

Paul Dee ran the Miami athletic department from 1993-2008. Into 2010 he was the chairman of the NCAA?s committee on infractions, where he was known for doling out stern and controversial penalties against USC football and Memphis basketball.

?High-profile players demand high-profile compliance,? said Dee, citing USC?s failure to monitor all parts of Reggie Bush?s life as reason for heavy sanctions.

So what about high-profile boosters?

Roll Tide, What do you think the punishment will be for Miami? The death Penalty? They killed Bama over the whole Albert Means case. And that case is small in comparison.

This is incredible!!

Totally agree that this ass clown Dee needs to either step down or be removed. Shalala is a complete idiot, so maybe she didn't know, but that won't really matter because she'll look like a complete boob now anyway.

Bring on the death penalty! Seems to be more than deserved here, right 'stang fans?

Listening to Finebaum this week, I was expecting the bag man to come forward in the Cam Newton case........I was surprised to hear that it was Miami.

This will have a HUGE trickle down effect on the college football landscape. Two Alabama football staffers accused of improper recruiting tactics during their time at Miami. Robert Mavre who is now the QB at Purdue was at the U and is going to be questioned. Apparently the new Missouri basketball coach came from, you guessed it, Miami.

To answer your question though, I have to believe that if any program was to get the Death Penalty, it would be The U after reading all of the stories and allegations. If you listened to the assbags at the NCAA back in 2002 and the Albert Means case they said that 'Bama was "this close" to getting the Death Penalty.

Like you said, this BLOWS the Means case out of the water.
